Recently popped out to Ironbark Brewery for an early pizza lunch on our way to Pinelli’s to stock up on our rosé. The pizzas are prepared and cooked in front of you under the pergola in the wood fired pizza oven. They aren’t fancy but they are very enjoyable and excellent value for price.
My glass of prosecco was just what I needed on a balmy summer’s day – citrusy, tiny bubbles with green apple and pear on the palate – can’t believed I stopped at one glass – neither can my husband… If you are not familiar with my instagram page – I write book and wine reviews @winesandbooks
If we had had an inkling of the size of the pizzas we might have just settled for one, but me feeling like chicken and he feeling like vegetarian and the enticement of a drink thrown in for free, we went for one each. We asked if we could take what we couldn’t eat home and a takeaway pizza box was delivered to our table in a couple of minutes.
Great value, good choice of food and beverages, lovely ambiance in the courtyard.
