I’ve been an avid reader since I was 4 years of age – an avid wine drinker… well I’ll own up to loving wine since I was legally allowed to drink 🙂
Since embarking on my @winesandbooks Instagram page a year or so ago – I have learnt a lot about the process of making wine and also made many new wine making/drinking and book writing/reading friends along the way.
A word that is currently recurring on Australian winemaker posts is “Veraison” accompanied by lovely photos of bunches of green grapes starting to turn purple.
I looked up the meaning of “Veraison” it is the moment when grapes change colour from green to yellow if they are white wine grapes, from green to pinkish purple if they are red wine grapes.
My darling @perthcafeculture and I live in the lovely “township” of Guildford WA in a little 1890’s terrace home – we think the grape vine on the side of our home is over 120 years old and – GUESS WHAT! It recently started doing the “veraison” thing!
