Guildford has so many food options within walking distance to us – and the latest – ‘Little Vines’ – was just perfect on a sunny Autumn afternoon. Sunlight dappling through the shady grapevines, friendly and efficient service – with beer on tap, good variety of wines available and great food.
We visited yesterday, the second time in a week or so, to celebrate our wedding anniversary with friends and family, the youngest being our 4 week old granddaughter Emmy Rose – Emmy slept blissfully for a couple of hours while her parents were able to relax and enjoy the ambience, food and wine.
The FWO (@perthcafedulture) ordered whiting fillets with coconut crumb, salad and chips – the fish was juicy and nicely cooked, the coconut adding a nutty flavour to the fish.
I had to order the cheeseburger again – good sized patty, cooked to my liking, melted cheese – the pickled veges were delicious, as was the house made sauce.
The rest of our table couldn’t go past the Porchetta roasting on the spit, absolutely superb was the feedback – and the roasted pepper salad was the spot on companion.
We enjoyed a couple of bottles of Rosé with our meals – Oakover Rosé and Houghton’s Small Batch Rosé – both great quaffing wines with or without food.
If you are looking for a peaceful garden oasis, great ambience, service, food and wine – Little Vines has it all.
